I am trained and Certified as a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher to teach mindfulness classes, groups, workshops, and day-long intensives, including in special fields such as education, health care, business, athletics, nonprofits, etc. I am a graduate of Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach’s two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program. Jack and Tara are world renowned mindfulness meditation teachers who have shared with me their wisdom, experiences and meditation practices of extraordinary psychological and spiritual depth.

With so much suffering in our world and so many of us living with fear, stress, trauma, overwhelm, anxiety, depression, loneliness, anger, a sense of separation and isolation...it is more important than ever before to learn to come into presence, cultivate gratitude, grow in self compassion, open our hearts and connect to ourselves and others and bridge differences with more kindness and respect. Through mindfulness, we train our minds to cultivate calm, peace, focus, stability, insight and freedom. The practice of mindfulness can be applied in all areas of our lives and help us transform into better versions of ourselves.
My students come from all different backgrounds and fields including education, health care, business, athletics and nonprofits, among others. By offering teachings in mindfulness, I aim to connect with people from all walks of life who are deeply committed to inner healing and living mindfully, and together help shift the collective consciousness to bring about a kinder, wiser and more compassionate world, one meditation at a time. I am trained and Certified by the Chopra Center (now Chopra) as a Primordial Sound Meditation Instructor. Founder Dr. Deepak Chopra, Chief Meditation Officer Roger Gabriel and Chopra Staff trained me in this mantra-based meditation technique rooted in the Vedic tradition of India.
Primordial Sound Meditation is a powerful practice for moving into the stillness and silence within. It derives from the yogic tradition of India, which focuses on achieving a blissful union of mind, body, and spirit. Chopra's co founders Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. David Simon revived the ancient practice of Primordial Sound Meditation and made it available in a format that everyone can easily learn and practice.
The Sanskrit word "mantra" means vehicle or instrument of the mind. Mantras can be sounds, words or phrases which are silently repeated in the mind during meditation to help focus and enter deep levels of awareness. The mantras used in Primordial Sound Meditation come from basic sounds in nature, such as those made by the wind, the ocean, a river, a waterfall, birds, etc. They have no particular meaning and each mantra has a unique sound or vibration that helps the meditator slip into the space between thoughts and into complete silence that is sometimes referred to as "the gap." Repetition of the mantra allows the meditator to disengage from internal chatter and go into quieter more peaceful levels of the mind. In other words, mantra meditation leads us from activity into silence. After repeating the mantra for some time, you will be more alert and in tune with your environment. This allows you to experience deeper levels of awareness.
Participants in Primordial Sound Meditation will receive their own unique personal mantra, which is calculated using Vedic mathematic formulas based on the person's birth date, time of birth and place of birth. With the help of their unique mantra, participants will learn to quiet the mind and access their intuition and insight so they can generate new ideas, solve problems more creatively and enjoy life experiences with more awareness.
